NEOBA is dedicated to supporting beekeeping in Northeast Oklahoma through continuing beekeeper education and promoting the art of beekeeping to the community at large.
Neoba is Oklahomas' largest beekeeping organization, with over 200 members. We are open to the public and welcome visitors to all of our meetings. The meetings always feature a presentation on a current topic appropriate to the season. Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of the month @ 7:00 p.m. at the Eastside Christian Church 1438 S Indianapolis. We offer beginners classes in the spring and fall each year. Classes are designed to provide the basic knowledge necessary to get your beekeeping career started. During the class you will also meet other beekeepers who can help mentor you in this new and exciting venture.
For the nonbeekeeper, you will find lots of general information on these pages, as well as teacher and homeschool resources. Neoba can often provide speakers and demonstrations for school and community groups. We maintain a list of local honey producers, and a list of beekeepers who will come and collect bee swarms that may land on your property. We also assist local authorities with bee related problems.
